This cherry burl has been stabilized- impregnanted with a durable resin all the way through to enhance durability and moisture resistance. This process helps to preserve the otherwise delicate grain and bark. A food safe tung oil is then applied to bring out the natural beauty of the wood.
The cutter is stainless steel and dishwasher safe- just unscrew it and place it in the dishwasher! It is also VERY sharp so please handle with care.
NEVER place the wooden handle, or any wooden utensil, in the dishwasher or soak in water. The handle can be washed with soap and water.
